This hands-on course offered by On Point Physical Therapy focuses on developing the skills and confidence required to incorporate dry needling techniques into your patient treatment programs. The course is divided into 2 modules, the first covers the lower quadrant (basic skill development) and the second covers the upper quadrant (advanced skill development). The course is specifically designed to allow students to learn and build confidence in their basic dry needling skills in the lower quadrant course before progressing to the more challenging upper quadrant.
Each module includes 25 hours of in-person instruction over 3 days including group lecture, small group demonstrations and guided practical sessions. The course is designed to provide a solid of theory and practical application to allow you to competently transfer this skillset to your daily patient practice. Students will have ample time to develop and hone their practical skills in a safe and supportive learning environment. As per college requirements, there will be a summative evaluation including both a practical and written examination at the end of each module.
On Point Physical Therapy benefits from a highly experienced Canadian instruction team. The lead instructor for this course has practiced dry needling in Canada, the US and Europe for 15 years and has instructed over 80 dry needling courses over the past 7 years.
